For the first time ever in the Pakistan’s history, Pakistan Tourism Summit was organized by Landmark Communication, with an objective to rebrand Pakistan across the globe and also to formulate and revamp current policies for promotion of tourism in Pakistan from 2-3 April at Jinnah Convention Centre – Islamabad.
With exciting nine panel discussions, the Pakistan Tourism Summit 2019 brought key stakeholders including national leadership, provincial tourism ministers, corporate industry, hospitality sector, aviation industry, travel associations, foreign delegates, media, diplomatic diaspora and social influencers to contribute in boosting the vast untapped potential of tourism industry in Pakistan.
On 2nd April at Gala Dinner of Pakistan Tourism Summit 2019, the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan -Dr. Arif Alvi- emphasized on the major opportunities of religious tourism and heritage tourism as a guarantee for boosting the tourism industry provided that responsible development plans are integrated.
CEOs and representatives of various groups opined that a vibrant tourism policy would unleash economic opportunities to promote tourism. However, it was encouraging for stake holders to find the ignored tourism industry on the roadmap again.
Pakistan Tourism Summit 2019 was concluded with the keynote address by the Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan – Imran Khan. It was announced that Pakistan Tourism Summit shall be made an annual feature as it is essential for discussing the challenges and opportunities of tourism in Pakistan.
